I have been singing this song to Gaven for the past two days hoping he would figure out that his birthday was coming and that birthdays are COOL! One year ago at just this time 0300 we were getting in the car to drive to Banner Estella so that I could be induced and have our little Gaven. I remember the excitement and the anticipation I had wondering what our little man was going to look like and what his temperment would be like.
Gaven and I watched "Despicable Me" yesterday because I went to the theatre last year the day before his birthday to see it with Kara,My MOM, Taylor, Colin and Mo...we were passing the time until my little one would be here. I think that I am going to make it a tradition that we watch it every year so I never forget how excited I was to be a mom for the very first time.
I am soo, soo excited to start today the day of GAVEN celebration. I am so excited that he has been mine for a year that he loves me and that he is my wonderful son. If he was awake right now I would call him and sing the birthday song to him again. Instead I will just sing it over and over and over in my head!

Hey Val, I didn't know where to find you! (I know you mentioned a while ago that you were taking your blog private.) I stumbled upon you tonight because I was looking through my own blog stats and found your link. Hope that's okay. I can't believe your beautiful baby boy is a year old! They grow soooo fast. Paul and I have started the lengthy process of adoption again. We'll see how things pan out...love you tons!
